Tamhoen

Team of 6
Working as a Level/Game Designer

Tamhoen is a game based on a universe of anthropomorphic birds and realized during 9 months with a team of 6 people.

In this game, each bird have its own perception of the wolrd. Whether it is at the level of colors or shapes. The player controls a bird equipped with a special vision lens which offers the possibility to modify the player world perception. Finally, birds communicate remotely by aerial figures coupled with songs

As for Game Design, main and permanent concern has been to match the intent with the small team size and tight schedule. Therefore, this project gave the opportunity to develop and consolidate project and team management

As for Level Design, the project has been a unique learning opportunity. Several challenges were taken up, among others :

  • To give a good feeling of movement to the player while flying by the creation of passages through rocks and buildings in which it is possible to sneak in.

  • To place landmarks matching with the univers by the use of a windmill on top of a hill.

  • To solve a sudden drop of FPS during a level building by use of LOD system on each 3D modeling.

 

 

We realized this game during 9 months on Unity.
